BINGO CALLERS + Other Help

While we’ve had some new Lions come on board recently, we’ve also lost some so we continue to need more members and volunteer help.  We can use more Bingo Callers, help with parades, selling raffle tickets, and with the big all-day Corn Feed coming up.  Not all helpers have to be Lions.  If you have any ideas or can help, please talk with an officer or board member.

July Picnic

Thanks to Lions Ken and Pat Boyd for their hard work making the turkeys for our picnic – excellent!  Also, appreciation to Lion Norton Sorenson for donating a hand-crafted wood end table for a raffle drawing.  It brought us $77 and Lion Anita Jackson won it.

Habitat for Humanity Bikers’ Breakfast

Our club received a huge banner Thank You complete with artwork and many signatures from the grateful bicyclists riding to raise money for Habitat for Humanity.  We had about a dozen early-bird volunteers show up before 6 am that day to serve breakfast at the school and do dishes.  The riders applauded us and took pictures before they rode off.  Some of them mentioned they are also Lions.

CORN FEED PLANS

Lion Scott Turner has been doing a good job of organizing the workers.  Numbers of helpers are lower so one game was eliminated.  Any additional help or ideas will be appreciated so let him know.  It should be a fun day for all.

SUNSHINE CORNER

Have a safe and healthy summer, Lions!
